Direct cause can be due to:-
- Swimmer’s Ear
- An infected Cyst
- Middle Ear Infection
- An injury
- Pressure (often from flying or diving)

- The removal of tonsils

- Dental problems (e.g., children cutting new teeth)
Person having pain should always sleep with the bad ear facing up as sleeping on the infected ear can aggravate mare pain.
